my wife and I trade off a lot. She is the much better cook than I, but then she tends to follow the recipe much closer than I do!

The big thing, I think, is to have a bunch of stuff on hand so that you can try different things. A well stocked cabinet can be a life-saver and an idea maker!

Try stocking up on some key ingredients you can use in lots of different dishes, like canned veggies, spices, and of course PACE products! :)

You'll never know when you will need something right quick, and having stuff canned or jarred makes it much easier.

I plan on cooking more and trying new recipes this year. I love PACE products because they give me lots of low fat flavor in my dishes. I like to make simple meals and it makes cooking more relaxing than a chore.

Great resolution!

The more you make cooking as much about the experience as it is about results, the more you will enjoy it. Make sure that your kitchen is bright, organized and well stocked. Music adds a lot to the experience too. Take some pictures along the way and post them up in the photo gallery, I'd love to see how it goes.

Happy cooking!

My husband is the cook in the family - he really loves it and I've always been a bit timid in the kitchen so I tend to stick to the dishes. But after helping out with Thanksgiving dinner this year, I realized how much fun cooking can be!

So my resolution is to cook more -- and to give me a better shot at succeeding, I've made it specific: at least one meal (by myself) every other week, and to try out new recipes as much as possible. If anyone has any tips for a relatively new cook, I'm all ears!
