It seems that nothing works better than dips for the Super Bowl. I mean nobody really sits down to dinner for the Super Bowl, right?
Here's a recipe for a chicken dip that i used to make with chunky salsa, but I've discovered it is even better with picante. Plus that way, we can use the salsa strictly for dipping.
Ingredients:
4 boneless chicken breasts 1 jar Pace picante 2 small onions 2 large green peppers 16 oz corn 32 oz Velveeta cheese 1 can green chilies (optional)
Place the chicken, onions, corn, picante and one green pepper into a slow cooker. Put on low for 10 hours. The picante does a great job of coating the chicken this way.
After about 8 hours, shred the chicken, add the Velveeta and your other green pepper.
In another 2 hours, stir well and you are ready to serve.
